PPG has been present in Iziragobi community since 2022 through the Iziragobi Project: a classroom block giving 100 pupils a safe place to learn, scholastic materials each quarter, 1,200 fruit trees planted, and financial literacy and support delivered directly to 30 young women. She Means Business is not a new entry. It is the deepening of a trusted, established relationship.
Namutumba is among Uganda’s most underserved districts. Young women, and teenage mothers in particular, face compounding disadvantages: no skills, no capital, no pathway. The community already knows PPG, the trust is built, and the need is documented. This programme meets women exactly where they are, with tools that create income from day one.
Every participant also receives a micro-loan to launch or scale her venture.

The programme is built around equipment that stays in the community, serving every cohort that follows.
“We did not come to Iziragobi with a proposal. We came with a classroom, with seedlings, and with capital for mothers. Now we are ready to do more.”
USD 500 provides a micro-loan to local women to launch and scale their businesses.
