Youth-Led. Community-Rooted. Globally Recognised.
Positive Peace Generation was founded under the name Mentoring Peace Champions Uganda (MPCU), born from a belief that young people are not just the future, but the present solution to the challenges facing their communities.
Over the years, we grew from a grassroots mentorship initiative into a nationally recognised, internationally awarded youth organisation working across peacebuilding, economic empowerment, mental health, education, and climate justice. On 1st January 2026, we officially rebranded to Positive Peace Generation, reflecting the evolution of our work and the depth of our ambition.
Our name changed. Our mission deepened. Our people remained at the heart of everything.

To raise and empower a new generation of leaders equipped to drive positive change within themselves, their communities, and the world at large.
A Healthy, Empowered, Peaceful and Violence Free Generation.
To create a safe and inclusive space where everyone can learn, grow, and contribute towards building a more peaceful society.
To eradicate poverty, provide quality education, improve health, and protect our environment.
At PPG, we treat peace as a whole system integrating youth leadership, mental well being, economic empowerment, education, and climate resilience to create peace that communities live and sustain every day.
Equipping young people with tools and skills to prevent, manage, and transform conflict in their communities.
Supporting youth entrepreneurship through structured training, mentorship, and ecosystem access to build sustainable livelihoods.
Creating safe spaces for youth to access mental health education, peer support, and professional care breaking stigma one conversation at a time.
Raising awareness and access to SRHR information, services, and menstrual health resources, particularly for young women and girls.
Mobilising youth for climate action including tree planting, waste management, and environmental education.
Providing structured learning, vocational skills, and digital literacy to young people who lack access to quality opportunities.
We draw inspiration from nonviolent conflict resolution principles, the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP) Positive Peace Frameworks, Rotary Peace Centres, and the United Nations Peace Frameworks. We recognise that amidst local and global conflicts, climate emergencies, and widening social divides, young people have the creativity and the courage to reimagine the future.
We do not see peace and economic development as separate agendas. A young person who owns a business, leads a team, and creates employment in their community is not merely economically active they are invested in the stability, cohesion, and future of that community. They become a multiplier of peace.
